“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.” (Matthew 6: 5-8)

Prayer is not just a time to ask for what we want, and praying when we want something should not be the only time we pray.We are told by Isa Al Masih,“Siz öncelikle O’nun egemenliğinin ve doğruluğunun ardından gidin, o zaman size bütün bunlar da verilecektir.” (Matta 6:33)
Çoğu zaman hayatlarımızdaki bir şeyler için dua ederiz; istediğimiz şey yeni bir iş, bir eş, şifa, maddi yardım hatta bir yavru köpek bile olabilir. Allah knows our hearts, He knows our circumstances, He knows when we have done wrong even if we don’t repent. But it is through developing a relationship with Him that all of the things we desire begin to work out, sometimes not according to how we see them, but how HE sees fit.
